Here’s a simple idea for safe and easy disposal of used modelling knife and scalpel blades.
Don’t just chuck out your empty supermarket dried herb and spice jars.
Save any jars with a large flip-top opening and keep one handy on your desk to use as a safe trash bin — aka. a sharps bin — for discarded scalpel blades. Once it’s full, tape the lid securely to the jar before you chuck it out. These glass jars are pretty tough, so they should stay safely intact all the way to landfill.
